The City of Hartford issued an official citation on April 28th celebrating the preservation of a marble plaque from 1911. The plaque was found in the basement of the Renzulli Academy at 121 Cornwall Street, a former location of the Yeshiva of Hartford (later the Bess & Paul Sigel Hebrew Academy). The plaque is from the Talmud Torah building on Pleasant Street and the hope is to incorporate it into a display at the Yeshiva’s descendant – New England Jewish Academy (NEJA).
